This is the email I received from the Heritage Foundation after taking their survey. If you would like to tell them what to cut, use this link and do so, it only takes a couple of minutes and will help The Heritage Foundation to educate lawmakers about spending cuts.
Actually, I would recommend cutting even more, but these were the largest choices!
The Heritage Foundation
Thank you for taking The Heritage Foundation “What Would You Cut?” survey!
Below is a summary of the money you want Washington to save taxpayers in the upcoming 2012 fiscal budget:
Department of Education: Cut $15 billion
Obamacare: Cut $5 billion
2009 Federal Stimulus Program: Cut $60 billion
Welfare/Entitlement Waste and Fraud: Cut $44 billion
Excessive Pay for Civilian Federal Workers: Cut $40 billion
TOTAL SAVINGS from these five areas alone: $164 billion!
As promised, The Heritage Foundation will use your recommendations to guide our efforts to educate lawmakers about spending cuts.
Now I have one further request: Please share this with your friends, and challenge them to join you in recommending budget cuts to Washington. Forward this e-mail to your friends and family, share this on Facebook and Twitter, and help us get others involved!
Thank you for taking the initiative to join in the effort to rein in the federal spending and debt that threaten to ruin our freedom and prosperity unless we take decisive action now.
